After high school graduation and military service, one year of orientation studies in mechanical engineering with internships at BMW. Subsequent training as a bank clerk and development via the stations of credit advisor, corporate customer advisor and head of corporate customers to assistant to the Board of Management with management of Controlling, Organization, IT, Marketing & Sales and Technical Services and appointment as authorized signatory. Further education with graduation as Dipl. Bankbetriebswirt ADG. Appointment as Member of the Board of Management for the Market of VR-Bank Fürstenfeldbruck eG with comprehensive sales responsibility for the corporate customer, property developer and branch business, including cross-selling, as well as personal consulting and support for top business customers from a wide range of industries. Also responsible for organization, IT, real estate and public relations. After 11 years on the board of directors, change to self-employment as management consultant and interim manager. Training as a NewPlacement coach. Josef Hölzl is SeniorPartner and co-owner of NewPlacement AG.

Born and raised in Freising. Found enthusiasm for team sports and skiing at a young age. Basic military service in Erding and orientation studies in Munich.
